I have been showing some of my work at the Wylye valley art trail. there are a few pieces of work on display, and for sale at the venue.

chopping board.

 here is an old bread board that I picked up. it is quite a big one, and I thought I could
paint a picture on it and hang it on the wall. so I planned out the usual circles for the flower heads, and then let that dry for a day or two.

 

I edged it all around with pink enamel, and worked on the garland of flowers, building it up gradually.

Lucky Trivet.

Another one of those little things that fascinate me. This Trivet cost me £1.50 at a boot sale a couple of weeks ago. I had no plan what to put on it, but when I started I just felt that I had to put a four leaf clover in the centre. So here it is.

hope it brings some luck to its new owner when it gets sold.



blue watering can

Little blue watering can. This is nice because it is a bit more of a boys one I think. yes,  it still has flowers on it, but then that's what it's for.  it has a little butterfly on the top as well. It goes well with the yellow one further down the blog.



Spicer Spice Rack.

wooden one, which I rubbed down,
primed and painted with gloss paint.

 It is for my sister, who has a girly kind of household, and their name is Spicer. I promised it as a Christmas present.
 it will go great in their kitchen.

2 more things I have just finished. Actually I cheated with the watering can as it was already painted.
The spice rack is quite a bright one, & more of a traditional look to it in a barge wear sort of  way.It must have been a good choice as it sold straight away.
