BLUE FOR YOU

I was commissioned to paint these items, and it was so nice to see them all in the kitchen together. I started off with the spice rack, and a visitor to my studio admired it. She asked if she could have white flowers, and discussed the design. She later provided the round metal tin, which she wanted to store Oxo cubes,
and the little wooden box to use as a salt pig. I thought what a good idea.

I also had an interesting shaped wooden egg rack which I bought at a car boot sale for 50 pence.  so she added that to her collection.

Last but not least, I had a pile of plates, and i love to mess around with different backgrounds. This was sprayed, and then sprayed with gold effects spray. I liked it as it was, but it was going to the CYGNETS shop so I decided to add the flowers after. I was not sure how this style would be received, as most people prefer the more traditional look. I'm pleased to say it didnt stay on the shelf for very long.
A different customer who bought this one, which surprised me.
